Special Features: The Togouchi Kiwami is a blended whisky from Japan, produced at the Sakurao Distillery, which was founded in 1918 in Hiroshima Prefecture. The whisky matures in a unique 361-meter-long tunnel, built by the Japanese railway company in 1970 but never completed. This tunnel maintains constant conditions with a temperature of 14°C and a humidity of 80%, which are optimal for whisky maturation. The blended whisky consists of 20% malt whisky and 80% mild grain whisky. The 2026 edition is offered in gift packaging and has an alcohol content of 40%.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: On the nose, fruity aromas of citrus and apple emerge, accompanied by fine grain notes and a hint of vanilla.
- Palate: On the palate, it is smooth and balanced with notes of honey, malt, nuts, and subtle spices.
