Special Features:

The 2023 edition is the second annual release of 15-year-old Cù Bòcan. The whisky spent its full maturation of at least 15 years in Oloroso sherry casks. Tomatin drew on early stocks of its lightly peated spirit, which the distillery has produced only in small winter batches since 2005. The edition is limited to 3,000 bottles.

Wax, Seville orange, dark chocolate, ginger cake and sun-dried fruit shape its sweet Oloroso character. Restrained, dry and earthy peat smoke provides a clear counterpoint. The whisky is bottled at 50%, without chill filtration or added colour.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals beeswax polish, Seville orange marmalade, extra-dark chocolate and Jamaican ginger cake.
• Palate: The whisky is pleasantly dry and earthy on the palate, accompanied by gentle smoke and followed by balanced, sweet sherry notes.
• Finish: The finish is long, ending on spicy notes of black tea and ginger root.

Founded in 1897, Tomatin Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands near Inverness. It was once Scotland’s largest distillery; since the 1980s, it has increasingly focused on producing high-quality single malts. Cù Bòcan is Tomatin’s experimental range of lightly peated whiskies matured in different types of cask. Its Gaelic name means “ghost dog”. This edition is an official bottling from Tomatin Distillery Co. Ltd.
