Special features: This 12-year-old Speyside Single Malt was distilled in October 2012 and bottled in March 2025. It matured for twelve years in a First Fill Bourbon Barrel (cask number 921177), which gives it a special depth and complexity. The bottling was done at cask strength with 52.5% vol., not chill-filtered and without coloring. With a limited edition of 216 bottles, this whisky is a coveted collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweet citrus notes, accompanied by a light coconut note and a pinch of thyme. There is also a sweet, slightly charred oak note that adds depth to the aroma.
Palate: Full-bodied with juicy fruit notes, citrus zest, and creamy vanilla. Harmoniously complemented by subtle wood spices.
Finish: Long-lasting, sweet, and fruity with a distinct vanilla note.
Distillery/Bottler: The Tormore Distillery was founded in 1960 and is known for its distinctive architecture, which has been protected as a historical monument since 1986. It is located in the heart of Speyside and produces a fruity-elegant Single Malt Whisky. After being acquired by Elixir Distillers in 2022, the distillery has increasingly come into focus for collectors and enthusiasts.
