Special Features:

This bottling combines whisky from four first-fill bourbon barrels from White Peak Distillery: casks 148, 152, 164 and 167. Distilled in 2018, the single malt matured for seven years. Elixir Distillers bottled it for The Whisky Trail in 2025 at 52.4%, yielding 1,254 bottles from the four casks. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh orchard fruit, including ripe apple and pear, combines with melon and citrus on the nose. A delicate smoky note lies underneath.
• Palate: On the palate, sweet bourbon notes and fresh fruit combine with baked lemon, crème brûlée, gingerbread, apple crumble and honey cake. A pleasant spiciness brings tension to the rich pastry character.
• Finish: The long finish brings together fruit and spice, with a hint of smoke and white pepper providing a contrasting accent.

Distillery/Bottler:

White Peak began producing whisky in 2018 at Wire Works, a restored former wire factory in Ambergate. The site lies within the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site and continues the region’s brewing tradition. Brewer’s yeast, long temperature-controlled fermentations and slow distillation enhance the distillate’s rich mouthfeel, while lightly peated malt is also part of the house style.

White Peak distilled the single malt in Derbyshire. Elixir Distillers bottled the whisky from the four casks as an independent bottler for The Whisky Trail.
