This blend brings together three eaux-de-vie linked to the history of Vallein Tercinier’s fifth generation. Lot 60 represents Louis, Lot 62 Catherine and Lot 63 Stéphane: each lot dates from the respective family member’s birth year. These spirits, matured over decades, were married to create this Cognac.

The edition forms part of the Generations project, initiated by Sebastian Jäger for Kirsch Import. It honours the connection between the family’s generations and their different contributions to the house. The front label depicts the three family members honoured by the edition.

The Cognac is offered without added colouring at 46.8% in a 0.7-litre bottle. It comes in a wooden box with a metal clasp. Enjoying it neat at room temperature is recommended to explore its fruit, spice and mature notes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals ripe and dried fruit notes of apricot and peach. Delicate vanilla and cedarwood complement the bouquet.
• Palate: The Cognac is creamy and sweet on the palate. Pastry notes mingle with nutmeg and a subtle touch of liquorice.
• Finish: The long finish reveals rancio with delicate hints of leather and nuts.

Distillery/Bottler:

Vallein Tercinier is based at the Domaine des Forges in Chermignac, in the Saintonge region. Louis Vallein purchased the estate in 1791, and Georges Vallein established the trading house in 1850. As an estate owner, distiller and merchant, Georges laid the foundations of the Cognac business, which now looks back on six generations of family history.

In Chermignac, the house carries out every stage from distillation to bottling. The fifth generation divided its responsibilities: Louis devoted himself to the vineyards and work on the land, while Catherine managed the company and developed the Cognac business. Her husband Stéphane looked after commercial affairs for many years. This blend is dedicated to these three people.
