The whisky matured in a Refill American Hogshead (#12033) and was bottled at 48.4% vol. Only 167 bottles of this exclusive edition were produced, making it a coveted collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet and spicy aromas of berry fruits, blackcurrant jam, toasted bread, jam, digestive biscuits, and ginger.
- Palate: Zesty and full-bodied with notes of apples and pears, a hint of orange peel, peppermint oil, and creamy vanilla.
- Finish: Long and dry with oak, coconut milk, and a touch more orange peel.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glenlivet Distillery, founded in 1824 by George Smith, is one of the oldest legal distilleries in Scotland and is known for its floral and soft malt notes. Gordon & MacPhail, an independent bottler since 1895, is famous for selecting and bottling exceptional casks that highlight the character of the respective distilleries.
