For the 6th Generation edition, Vallein Tercinier brings together four eaux-de-vie from the birth years of the next generation of the family. Mathieu is represented by Lot 88, Guillaume by Lot 93, Martial by Lot 98 and Paul by Lot 000. The selected spirits date from 1988 to 2000. The blend thus connects the family's personal history with the house's stocks matured over decades.

This limited release was created as part of the Generations project initiated by Sebastian Jäger for Kirsch Import. The Cognac is bottled at 49.2% without added colouring. The 0.7-litre bottle comes with an engraved wooden box with a metal clasp.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals ripe apricots and candied orange, accompanied by roasted nuts and delicate vanilla.
• Palate: The Cognac is full-bodied and structured on the palate. Pepper and ginger provide a spicy counterpoint to the sweetness of dried fruit.
• Finish: Rancio is prominent in the long finish. Leather and tobacco linger, complemented by a hint of herbs.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Domaine des Forges in Chermignac is closely linked to the history of Vallein Tercinier. Louis Vallein acquired the estate in 1791; Georges Vallein established the trading house in 1850 and began selling Cognac in bottles. As an estate owner, distiller and merchant, he laid the foundations for the family business. In the 1990s, Louis and Catherine Tercinier divided responsibility for winegrowing and trading between them.

The house's accumulated expertise includes old Cognac reserves kept in the cellar known as the Paradis. Here, the family also stores spirits in glass demijohns once their maturation in wood is complete. Some of these reserves date back to 1875 and embody Vallein Tercinier's long tradition of blending.
