Special Features:

Red berries are at the heart of this Italian aperitif liqueur. Natural ingredients are selected from local producers for Cordusio, including berries from the Italian Alps. The recipe combines them with botanicals; distillation, blending and bottling take place entirely in Italy. No artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives are used.

The bottle draws on Milanese architecture and design: vertical lines and brushed bronze accents evoke Romanesque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau forms. The scarlet-tinted glass protects the contents. The bottle contains 0.7 litres at 19.5%. Cordusio can be served over ice with a slice of orange or mixed using one part Aperitivo to three parts tonic.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Red berries lead on the nose, with a lively cranberry note accompanied by delicate citrus notes. There are also impressions of strawberries, raspberries and citrus peel, along with gentian, quinine and thyme.
• Palate: On the palate, Cordusio opens with an intense, fresh impression of botanical and citrus notes that complement the red berries. The fruit is juicy, its sweetness combining with delicate bitterness and herbal notes. Subtle spice notes add warmth.
• Finish: Bittersweet berry notes and spice remain in the long finish. Herbal bitterness lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

The name Cordusio refers to Piazza Cordusio in central Milan. Herbs and other botanical ingredients were once among the goods traded at its market. The brand reflects this connection to the city in both its recipe and its architecturally inspired bottle. Cordusio is a B Corp-certified company.

The liqueur is made by Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, Piedmont. The company has produced liqueurs, spirits, grappa and syrups since 1992. Alongside its own products, it develops bespoke recipes for other brands and handles their production. Its work also includes advice on packaging and legal requirements; adaptable production lines allow it to accommodate different orders.
