Special features: Only 244 bottles of this single cask rum were produced. Its origins lie in a quiet hacienda in Ecuador that is no longer in operation. It is made from sugarcane juice fermented with natural yeasts for eight days. This project supports the marine conservation organization Sea Shepherd and brings these endangered inhabitants of the oceans to the fore with a beluga whale motif on the bottle.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fruity and floral notes, accompanied by a light spice and a hint of sugar cane.
- Palate: Full-bodied with sweet nuances, fine wood notes and a delicate presence of vanilla and spices.
- Finish: Long lasting, complex with a pleasant spiciness and restrained sweetness.
Distillery/Bottler: The bottling is by Oldman Spirits. The rum was produced in Ecuador, a rather rare country of origin for high-quality rum. The region surrounding the no longer active hacienda is known for its high-quality sugarcane juice, which forms the basis of this elegant rum. The project combines enjoyment with a commitment to ocean conservation through the non-profit organization Sea Shepherd.
