Signatory Vintage

As an independent bottler of various Scotch whiskies, Signatory has been selling exclusive cask bottlings under its own name since 1988, thus giving many fans access to brands that do not release bottlings under their own logo.

The company's own barrel warehouse with well over 10,000 barrels still contains a stock of bottlings from some distilleries that have either already closed or have enjoyed such popularity for years that they no longer issue barrels to independent bottlers.

Some of these distilleries have had such strong demand from whisky enthusiasts for several years that many bottlings are now released without an age statement, as the old stock often simply does not have the required capacity.

It is different at Signatory: Each bottling contains information about the distillation and bottling date, the barrel and bottle number, the barrel type and whether it was chill-filtered. All bottlings basically correspond to their own color and have not been mixed with caramel coloring. Some bottlings consist not only of one barrel, but of a marriage of two barrels, rarely three or four. The barrels are selected by hand and filled in the company's own facility. The bottles are packaged in high-quality and attractively designed gift boxes made of cardboard or tin. Piano wood or walnut are used for the particularly valuable bottlings.
